For over 30 years, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation has raised and distributed funds to support medical excellence at the RCH.

Generous community donations raised through the Good Friday Appeal, by Auxiliary groups, corporate donors and many others, have supported the treatment, research and training that enables us to provide the best care to patients and their families.

This year, funding from the RCH Foundation has supported teams including the Education Institute, allowing them to adapt and innovate their learning program to ensure that no child is left behind in their education needs – even during a pandemic.

To illustrate the RCH Foundation’s incredible work, the RCH archives and collections team has put together a three part online audio exhibition, which describes the history and role of the RCH Foundation as the fundraising arm of our hospital.

Explore this exhibition, and our 2020 program here.

From humble beginnings in 1944, clinical research at the RCH is now leading the world in clinical advancements in the prevention and treatment of paediatric illnesses.
