Celebrate. Create. Connect. The Aboriginal Art Project
8th of July, 2020
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The RCH and the RCH Foundation acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, and the rich cultural history of our First Peoples. The hospital is committed to ensuring our First Nations Peoples have equitable access to mainstream healthcare services.
As a gift to the RCH for its 150th anniversary, and to highlight the value of our Aboriginal communities, the RCH Foundation is commissioning two major artworks created by First Nations artists to be permanently installed within the hospital.
In NAIDOC Week this year, we will launch Celebrate. Create. Connect. The RCH150 Aboriginal Art Project. This special project acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, pays tribute to the role they’ve played in our history, and the importance of reconciliation as we move toward the future – while creating a culturally significant legacy for our community.
